England 0 – 2 France U21 Highlights

March 31, 2009

Goals From Obertan and Moussa Sissoko scored first-half goals as France beat England in Nottingham .Liverpool’s French striker David Ngog caused England all sorts of problems before he came off after an hour.Manager Stuart Pearce now has some thinking to do with the champions coming soon.

While the timing may be considered unhelpful given that the European Under-21 Championships start in June, Pearce urged his side to learn from the experience and take that into the finals in Sweden.

“I don’t skirt about it, we were well beaten today on our own surface, which is disappointing for us,” Pearce said

“I think we responded a bit in the second half but showed a little bit too much respect, left gaps between our two [centre backs], we
weren’t tight enough and we didn’t win enough battles.
