3 Innovative Apps That Football Fans Love

September 8, 2016 | Filed Under: Blog

Football apps are becoming really innovative these days and football fans are really spoilt for choice. Let’s look at the 3 best football apps out there

The summer is almost over and football is back again in our lives. Jose Mourinho is transforming Manchester United into a mean football machine, Pep Guardiola is bringing the swagger with him to City and Antonio Conte seems to have reawaken the champions mentality in Chelsea.

The situation is similar in other leagues as well and football fans are as excited as the winners which are about to be paid out in an online casino. Online casinos paved the way for innovation in mobile apps. You can find good examples at Playercasino.co.za. This has spilt over into really innovative football apps which make our lives as football fans so much better,

Football apps such as Onefootball, Sky Go, Football Manager Classic, New Star Soccer and many others make the experience of living and breathing football unlike anything else. In this article we will look at the three most innovative football apps out there.

  1. Corner (Free)

iOS / Android

We start off this list with a bit of an unexpected candidate. Corner is a very useful app for all football followers who are on the go because it provides football lovers with a map of pubs nearby, where they can watch the games they have selected on the app.

This might not seem as much of a breakthrough, but Corner is one of the most often downloaded and used apps since it was released two years ago. Football fans can choose a match of their liking with just a swipe of their fingers and a list of pubs which are close by will immediately appear.

Getting to the pub that you choose is really simple and easy and the directions taking you there are one of the most direct and concise we have ever read.

Another interesting feature about this app is that it has a filter which you can use to leave out or include in your search places like beer gardens, pubs with Wi-Fi and pubs which serve or don’t serve food.

  1. Ultimate Fan Live (Free)

iOS / Android

Ultimate Fan Live (UFL) is another free football app which also gives you the chance of an in-game purchase if you want to unlock some of the more advanced features of the app.

In its essence UFL is a fantasy football game with a twist. In it you choose only two players before a match and then based on their performance you earn points. All points are awarded by linking data from Opta.

This is an ideal app if you are gathered with your friends before a match and you want to up the ante. However, be careful, there have been numerous stories of friendships being ended because of a penalty miss or a red card that the chosen player was given.

  1. Fanatix (Free)

Fanatix is the third and last entry on this list. This innovative football app is very similar to the replays format that Vine offers to its users. The videos in Fanatix, for example, loop in the same way that Vines do.

However, there is one slight difference and that is that videos in the Fanatix app are a bit longer and last for eight minutes. In addition, the creators of the Fanatix app thought that it would be much better if they focused more on football news, like transfer updates or training ground videos than just replays of goals.

So there you have it. Three apps that approach football a bit differently than we are used to and at the same time are easy to use and free to download whenever you feel like killing some time.
