It all started the Algerian squad was being taken from the airport to their hotel, immediately sparked a diplomatic war of words.
Egyptian police insisted that there were no injuries, but Algeria’s foreign minister said several players had been hurt and demanded security be tightened for Saturday’s game where a place at the 2010 World Cup finals is at stake
The coach did not even leave the airport when rocks were launched at the windows injuring at least three players
The qualifying match has stirred passions in both Egypt and Algeria. If Algeria qualify, it will be the first time they have gone to the finals since 1986.
Failure to qualify would be a huge disappointment for Egypt, which is the holder of the African Cup of Nations trophy.
Algeria team members Rafik Saifi was injured, and Rafik Halliche and Khaled Lemmouchia both got head injuries

Weird how the media is totally oblivious to the the Algerians provocation. there's too much water nder the bridge both countries are boiling. you should have seen what the Algerians did to the bus at the tossing of few small rocks at their window buy some street kids with no education.They smashed the windows and swore at all the egyptian masses. Bomedian Helped Naser And Sadat during the war. We should know that the history and realtionship between them is more than 90 minutes match.
