Ronaldo was substituted at half time in the Copa do Brasil game against Atletico Paranaense in Curitiba on Wednesday night, when Corinthians lost the third round first leg 3-2.
At first it was suspected Ronaldo had suffered a rib fracture. But that is not the case.
“We’ve put him thorugh x-ray and a CT scan and we found a limited chest injury, but no fracture. It hurts a lot, so it will depend on the reaction to painkillers. But he should play on Sunday,” says Paulo de Faria.
Corinthians meet Santos FC at the Estadio do Pacaembu in the Paulista championship final. Corinthians won the first match 3-1
