Barcelona thrashed Real Madrid 5-0 tonight. Barcelona showed their class with a stunning perfomance at the Nou Camp to knock their rivals off the top of La Liga.

Ronaldo who challenged Barca to score eight against them last week wished he never said anything because they could have easy got 10.

Tempers flared at the end as Carvalho went in hard on Messi, and Sergio Ramos was shown a second yellow card for pushing and kicking out.

Playing at home was always going to be advantageous for Barcelona, who played some excellent football for most of the 90 minutes. The possession statistics revealed the picture – 70% for Barca.

Dubbed as the match between, arguably, two of the best players of the soccer world, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, it turned out to be a Barcelona-show. Messi set up two goals and David Villa scored two to ensure that the 2-0 scoreline inside the first 18 minutes did not go waste for Barcelona.

Mourinho said that the defeat would test the character of the team, but also added that his side deserved to lose given the ridiculous soccer they played. He added that he had had a talk with the players and expected them to bounce back from the loss, get back to their winning ways and to the top of the points table again. The big question is, how?
See the highlights below a masterclass act from the barca boys and some very funny commentary!
