Barcelona’s new star Rafa Alcantara aka Rafinha

It is often said that FC Barcelona’s training centre La Masia is one of those which possesses the magic wand to produce the footballers for the future. And it seemed to have been proved right yet again as Rafa Alcantara aka Rafinha scored what was one of the better goals of the week.

Playing in the Spanish Segunda Division, Barcelona B beat Salamanca 3-2 and there was enough evidence that Rafinha is a player to look out for the future.

With a World Cup-winning father Mazinho – who was a part of the 1994 Brazilian team – and a brother Thiago who has also made a name for himself in the Spanish League, it is not a surprise why.

Rafinha has come a long way in a short time and the game against Salamanca on Saturday saw him score one and assist in another goal in the game.

You can watch both his goal and the assist here:
