For a very very long time have liverpool football fans have had to be content with whispers and rumours about the ghost goal at anfield but over 41,000 Anfield spectators privileged enough to witness it that night will ever forget.
Jan Molby’s strike for Liverpool was against Manchester United in their 2-1 Milk Cup win back in November 1985 is widely regarded one of the best you will see . The goal was scored during the TV blackout of 1985/86 the goal has taken on mythical status as only those present have ever been able to talk about how the big man won the ball with a crunching tackle on Norman Whiteside, before taking on the whole united defence before unleashing a thunderbolt into the net in front of the Kop.The only footage of the game was recorded by a single police surveillance camera in the Anfield gantry
After the match, Jan was given the only copy of the game by defeated Mr Ron Atkinson, and finally the Kop legend has given LFC TV the footage for public release
Well now the secret is out and the story is so true many would have missed this but thanks to lfc tv we get to see the master at his work and a name never to be forgotten big jan the man scoring a beauty of a goal have a look at this!
