Fernando Torres hits a great hatrick to give liverpool the points today(6-1) as united also won(0-2) but the shock of the day chelsea lose away at wigan(3-1).Robbie Keane was the star of the day scoring 4 goals as spurs blew new boys burnley away (5-0).

Liverpool 6 Hull 1

Fernando Torres great  hat-trick put more misery on struggling Hull at Anfield.
The Spaniard turned Ibrahima Sonko for the opener , and though Geovanni fired Hull level , Torres waltzed through for his great second goal and broke the offside trap for to hit his hatrick .Torres delighted

Steven Gerrard’s  wonderful cross shot flew straight in and sub Ryan Babel tapped in Dirk Kuyt’s cross and got another off Albert Riera’s effort looped in off his heel.The victory was Liverpool’s fifth of their Premier League campaign and the Reds subsequently move to within three points of Chelsea and Manchester United. Ryan Giggs was the difference as United eventually gained their reward for a dominant display.Liam Lawrence was lucky to escape after handling Paul Scholes’ shot and Antonio Valencia poked wide when clean through before Thomas Sorensen denied Nani.

Wigan got a great home win and stopped the 100% recored that chelsea held on a day Petr Cech saw red as Chelsea’s perfect start to the season came to an end.

Chris Kirkland was called into action early on but his efforts were rewarded when Titus Bramble got away from his marker to head home , and Emmerson Boyce was denied brilliantly by Cech. Ancelotti video

Robbie Keane scored four goals as Tottenham continued their best start to a league campaign for 18 years.Keane struck from the spot after he was bundled over by Andre Bikey and Jermaine Jenas’ deflected effort flew in as Spurs took control.

Saha’s only strike kept the pressure right up on  boss Paul Hart as Pompey with now seven games without a point.

The Everton striker latched on to Johnny Heitinga’s long ball and fired past the onrushing David James .

Kevin Phillips looked to have earned City a point with a low drive after a one-two with new boy Christian Benitez  but Lee scored a sweet winner after Matt Taylor’s free-kick stuck the post .Megson video

Blackburn 2 Aston Villa 1

David Dunn’s  very late penalty earned 10-man Rovers a great  comeback victory over on form villa.

Gabriel Agbonlahor was picked out by James Milner to finish via a post but Chris Samba slid in to level after being fed by Franco Di Santo.

Di Santo went close but Blackburn’s hopes were hit by Vince Grella’s second booking only for Richard Dunne to handle Di Santo’s effort, allowing Dunn to win it for Rovers .Big sam was a happy man with this effort from his team see video here

Fulham 0 Arsenal 1

Stand in keeper  Mannone produced a superb saves to keep the gunners in the game before arsenal took  the lead to give them the all the points at fulham.Dutchman Van Persie was found by Cesc Fabregas’ floated throughball, and he superbly angled in from 18 yards.Bendtner had a couple of half-chances late on, and substitute Emmanuel Eboue flashed wide when clean through, the Gunners boss was more than happy with the result when the final whistle came.
