Beckham Starts Italian Adventure In Milan
December 21, 2008
England coach Fabio Capello suggested the move so the former Manchester United player stayed match fit and could still turn out for his country.
Beckham said: “I’m really happy to be here, it is a great honour. I hope to add to the team, I hope to give everything that I’ve always given in my career and it’s a huge honour.
“I’ve played for the biggest club in England, the biggest club in Spain and now I’m going to be playing for the biggest club in Italy.
“I’ve been very lucky in my career to have done that, and I’m just going to enjoy it because I think to be given this opportunity is incredible.”
His arrival at AC Milan comes at a crucial time for the club, as they are nine points adrift of rivals Inter and their form in recent weeks has been poor.
Injuries have hit the side and Beckham will move immediately into the hole left by Rino Gattuso, who is out for six months following a knee operation.
AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti even joked: ”If I could, I would play Beckham now this weekend.”

Rooney was leading his team-mates in a karaoke singalong of Mustang Sally.Irish joker O’Shea propped up the free bar ordering beer and champagne - and lifting up the skirts of passing girls. As the music tempo increased so did the players’ wild dancing.
But things began to get a bit heated when fullback Daniel “Simmo” Simpson got in a fight with another reveller at around 2am.
A witness said: “Everyone was on the dancefloor when Simmo was pushed through the crowd by an older man. Simmo was f-ing and blinding. Van der Sar pulled them apart

Bernd Schuster Sacked
December 9, 2008

Reigning Spanish champions Real Madrid have sacked Bernd Schuster as their coach, according to latest reports emerging from Spain.
It has been reported that after a series of meetings on Tuesday morning, the Real Madrid hierarchy came to a conclusion to sack the German. This comes after a run of poor results and the German uttering some damaging and controversial remarks off the pitch.
Real Madrid are currently fifth in the league, 9 points off the pace with archrivals FC Barcelona in sole possession of the pole position. They were defeated 4-3 by Sevilla at the weekend and after the match Schuster said that Real were certainly not going to win against Barcelona in El Clasico on Saturday.
Keane Quits Sunderland
December 4, 2008
Roy Keane has Quit Sunderland. The reports followed 24 hours of intense speculation that the former Manchester United star was on the brink of quitting.
There was no immediate confirmation or denial of the reports from Sunderland but, according to the BBC, players and staff have been informed of Keane’s exit
It is understood the players and staff were told about Keane’s departure on Thursday morning.
Keane took charge in August 2006 and he made an immediate impact as he guided Sunderland to the Championship title the following May.
Last season the club consolidated their place in the top flight and Keane’s task this term was to make an assault on the top half of the table.
With that in mind, Sunderland backed Keane by spending nearly £30million on new players with the likes of Djibril Cisse, Pascal Chimbonda, Anton Ferdinand, El-Hadji Diouf and George McCartney all coming in.
Coupled with the £30million-plus spent the previous summer, expectation levels were high on Wearside.
However, despite a morale-boosting Wear-Tyne victory over rivals Newcastle - their first since 1980 - Sunderland’s form and place in the league has plummeted.
Just two wins in ten league games has put them in the bottom three, and speculation has been rife in the North East over the last month that Keane was ready to walk away from the club. Its possable Quinn may take over sunderland role and the future for keane possable united bound who knows

The Madeira-born winger scooped the prestigious award on Tuesday morning to make history for his country and join two legends of the game.
Figo is delighted and proud of his successor and he sent a special message to Ronaldo from Inter’s Appiano Gentile training ground.
“I am full of pride and happiness that the Ballon d’Or went to Cristiano Ronaldo,” Figo is quoted as saying on Tuttomercatoweb.com.
“He is the third player in the history of Portuguese football to have conquered it after Eusebio in 1965 and myself in 2000.”
