FC Dallas 1 – 1 LA Galaxy Highlights
May 24, 2009
FC Dallas’ second consecutive 1-1 tie at home and its third in its past seven league games. That’s nothing compared to the Galaxy, which has eight ties in 10 games this season (1-1-8, 11 points).
FC Dallas, only 1-6-3 with 6 points, surrendered a goal 3 minutes into the game, with Landon Donovan — Team USA’s all-time scoring leader — scoring his sixth goal this season and 90th of his MLS career (16 against FC Dallas).
The home team, playing a man down after Marcelo Saragusa was ejected in the 25th minute for shoving the Galaxy’s Eddie Lewis in the back of the head, tied it in the 31st minute when Drew Moor, at the top of the goal box, headed home a left-footed corner kick by Dave van den Bergh. It was Moor’s second goal of the season and van den Bergh’s third assist. After that, they were destined for a tie, although the Galaxy got much the best of play with a 20-9 edge in shots and 8-3 edge in shots on goal. But FC Dallas goalkeeper Ray Burse made seven saves.
Donovan’s goal was the result of three FC Dallas defenders being unable to stay with Galaxy attackers. Lewis found Donovan with a left-footed cross and Donovan, tangled up with defender Daniel Torres and with his back to the goal, backheeled the ball into the goal

Obama The Daddy of Soccer
May 20, 2009
Not sure what the big deal is. I mean US President Barack Obama might be the commander in chief but he can also be a regulate soccer dad too.
After naming a new U.S. Ambassador to China, Obama jumped into his bullet-proof Silverado and skipped out to his daughters soccer game. Some may think that a president should just do president work all day long but come on, how much of that can anyone take. Besides, skipping out for a few hours is hardly worthy of criticism. Bush promptly went on vacation after winning the election.
The only concern is his sence of security. I mean shouldn’t he more careful being out in the open like that?Fair play to the man at the end of the day we say see him below.

LA Galaxy 1 – 1 Columbus Crew mls Highlights
May 18, 2009
Eddie Lewis scored his first goal of the season in second-half stoppage time to help the Los Angeles Galaxy salvage a 1-1 tie with the Columbus Crew on Sunday. Galaxy now (1-1-7) extended their unbeaten streak to seven games — their longest stretch without a loss in two years.
Guillermo Barros Schelotto scored his fifth goal of the season for the Crew (1-2-6), who extended their unbeaten run to five games but have yet to win on the road.
Lewis scored after Omar Gonzalez’s long throw-in reached the penalty area. The Crew’s Gino Padula headed the ball away from the net, but Lewis secured it and fired a low 25-yard line drive that settled inside the right post.
The Crew played the end of the match with 10 men after Danny O’Rourke received his second yellow card for tripping Landon Donovan from behind in the 89th minute.
