fernando torres no manchester united 300x216 Fernando Torres Manchester united NeverFernando Torres has come out public saying the only team for him in english football is Liverpool and he would never sign for manchester united. Sir Alex Ferguson was planning a audacious raid on Liverpool for the Kop star last summer in a 45 million pound move but of course that never got started .

Rafael Benitez also revealed this month a number of other big clubs, including Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester City, all made substantial offers for him in the summer.

But Torres has expressed his desire to stay at Anfield which will please all reds fans , and completely ruled out an Old Trafford switch which will make them even more happy.

“I can understand the feelings between Man Utd and Liverpool,”
Torres told Sport magazine when asked about the chances of playing for the Premier League champions.“I’m a foreign player, but I know how the Liverpool fans feel and I remember the welcome I had when I arrived – it was amazing.

“I hope to play a lot of years or maybe even finish my career here.

“I don’t know, but Liverpool is my English team and I don’t think about playing for another one.”

Like many say at the moment Fernando Torres is the best striker in the world
