Despite the interest shown by Manchester United in getting the supremely talented, Japanese mid-fielder Shinji Kagawa, his club Borussia Dortmund has demanded a fee of £20million. According to reports, Dortmund does not want to let go of Kagawa to United and hence the high price tag.

Earlier, the Japanese player had become the part of the club in August 2010 after the side acquired him for a fee of £295,000 only. However, it seemed to be one of the best buys as he has gone on to drill in eight goals in just 17 games. This puts him atop of the club’s top goal-scoring chart.

After the success of Park-Ji Sung, Manchester United’s manager Sir Alex Ferguson looked to be wanting to getting Kagawa into the side but for now, he will need to do a rethinking given the price tag.

Dortmund sports director Michael Zorc has announced that he will look to retain the player by giving him an extension with the club

Looks a good player
