Enzo Zidane but he will play for spain

enzo-zizo Enzo Zidane, named after his fathers idol

Young Enzo won his first trophy for one of Real Madrids youth team when they beat arch-rivals Barcelona to win the Mediterranean International Cup in the Catalan coastal resort of Palamos.

Enzo who plays in the same position as his dad, even dared to showcase one of his fathers trademark pirouettes as he slipped past an opponent in midfield. As you can see from the video below he has mastered some of the great mans moves!

“My father gave me a couple of tips on how to do the ‘ruleta’,” Zidane junior told Marca. “The rest is down to me.”

Whether he can go on and enjoy anything like the success of his father is quite another matter, of course. Few footballing sons have managed to live up to expectations and emulate or even better the achievements of famous fathers. Which ones have managed it, or even come close? we cant think of many but who knows!

Enzo, is in line for a call-up to Spain’s under 15 squad after celebrating his 14th birthday yesterday so much for the french!

Got to say the footwork is looking good!

I can think of about 3 players who successfully emulated their fathers & exceed them:
    1. Paolo Maldini – definitely much more decorated and much more accomplished than Cesare. He's celebrated as one of the best defenders of all time. Cesare? Not so much.
    2. Xabi Alonso – playing pretty much the same role as his father (both are great passers), but his father definitely never won the World Cup
    3. Gonzalo Higuain – very accomplished striker at a tender age. By playing for RM & being 2nd top scorer last season, at least he already emulated his father… if not exceeded him.

It's also worth mentioning Youri Djorkaeff (1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 winner). His father Jean played for France in the 1966 World Cup and totalised 48 international caps. Youri played for AS Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan among others. He won the Cup Winners' Cup in 1996 and the UEFA Cup in 1998.
