Good news for United as Howard Webb gets chelsea game

May 3, 2011 | Filed Under: Blog

Ferguson has made his thoughts known about Webb before, claiming that he feels that the official is not capable of handing big fixtures that include Manchester United after what seem to be a string of poor decisions by the referee, well that is in the eye of the Scot.

The fixture which will take place at Old Trafford this weekend has been tipped as the biggest game of the Premier League title race so far with both Man United and Chelsea needing to secure the full three points to take the lead in the short race that they still have left before them.

There are only three games remaining for both sides and Chelsea have managed to narrow the difference between the two sides down to just three points, both sides having the same goal difference.

This will prove to be the make or break moment for Chelsea as they look to overturn the current league leaders in their fight to retain the Premier League title and according to reports, Ferguson is less than happy with the appointment.

Other reports in today’s football news show that Ferguson is currently being investigated by the English Football Association (FA) over comments that he made about match officials following the clubs 1-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal last weekend.
