The Spanish international has apparently been offered to both Chelsea and Manchester City for £40 million, a price that will be appealing to both clubs as they both clubs look to improving their attacking line with someone as experienced on both a domestic and international level.

According to reports, Barcelona are not keen on allowing the Spanish international to leave the club but with the desire to bring three targets into the club during the summer as they look to continue their global dominance.

The Catalan club see the £40 million sale as a fund raising move that will enable them to see their transfer activities fall into place, allowing them to make the estimated £91 million swoop for Cesc Fabregas, Alexis Sanchez and Giueseppe Rossi.

The action to offer Villa out to clubs comes after Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola was told that he would only have £40 million to spend this summer following the club’s debts building up to a staggering £350 million.

Is 40 million the right price?
