Breaking reports tonight have linked Madrid manager Jose Mourinho with a shock move to sign veteran midfielder Zinedine Zidane, as a coach.

Zidane currently acts as an advisor to club president Florentino Perez but Mourinho is thought to believe that the former Real Madrid player has more to offer the club as part of the coaching team.

Zidane is no stranger to the fans of the club after having three World Cup titles to his name as well as breaking into the hall of fame at the club after scoring a volley against Bayer Leverkusen in the 2002 European Cup final.

The Frenchman retired from the professional game as a player after being sent off in the 2006 World Cup match between France and Italy after he headbutted a rival defender, sending him to the floor.

Mourinho quoted to French television that he would like to have Zidane focus more on the squad than being an advisor to the president of the club, saying that he would like to have the former player spend more time with him than Perez

Could this be a good move?
