It’s now confirmed John Henry will be new owner of Liverpool football club after a an agreement was made today late in London. last Night a Texas court  issued a restraining order stopping the sale of club and trying to claim £1.6bn in damages See the Hicks & Gillett statement relating to Texas Court injunction (Koptalk)

The High Court has ruled in favour of Liverpool against the injunction gained by Tom Hicks and George Gillett which has given them to green light to seal the deal.

“The decision was granted by judge Christopher Floyd, who issued an order on Thursday against the temporary injunction gained by Hicks and Gillet on Wednesday evening in Dallas, Texas.

The ruling now gives the green light for New England Sports Ventures to push ahead with their purchase of Liverpool – which was voted through on Wednesday night after a High Court had earlier dismissed Hicks and Gillett’s attempts to stop the sale.

Hicks and Gillet’s injunction in America was seen as their last bid to prevent the sale against their will, as they argued the club’s board – led by chairman Martin Broughton – did not have the legal right to do so.” sky sports

But the High Court have now again ruled in favour of Liverpool and the club’s main financiers the Royal Bank of Scotland.

A UK-based spokesman for Tom Hicks said Mill Financial did not acquire any late stakes from him which was one of the main issues of putting the club on block to be sold because of other higher bids on the table being ignored.

Henry and NESV now have control at Anfield and will look to take the club forward with stability. Henry’s NESV company owns Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox and Liverpool fans will be hoping for a similar turnaround in their fortunes as the baseball team enjoyed following their 2002 takeover.

In 2004 the Red Sox won their first World Series since back in 1918 and they secured the title again in 2007 they hope they can repeat the same glory with Liverpool.

After a week of drama off the pitch John Henry’s NESV have finally completed the takeover of Liverpool after Tom Hicks and George Gillett accepted defeat in their bid to prevent a sale

How ironic, my husband was let go as his pilot because of "need to make cutbacks." They were experiencing " difficult times." We have had this shoved in our faces. Thanks a lot John Henry and Linda Pizutti. In the mean time we have to sell our house, and are left in financial straits. I wish the both of you the worst possible luck that could ever be wished upon 2 people and their new baby !!! Thanks for destroying our life…. Kim
