La galaxy qualified for the MLS playoffs by clinching first in the Western Conference with a 2-0 winagainst San Jose Earthquakes last night.
Galaxy forward Mike Magee split two defenders in the near wing and slipped a pass to an unmanned Donovan, whose shot bounced off Earthquakes defender Bobby Burling and sailed over Cannon into the corner of the net for an own goal.
The second came in the 77 th minute Ricketts passed to Beckham who reached Donovan then Klein crossed the ball back to Donovan, who calmly slipped a shot between his legs.
