News has hit the football world that although Liverpool owners New England Sport Ventures (NESV) have given manager Roy Hodgson their vote of confidence saying that he needs time, they could be already looking to show him the exit.

The stories suggest that Hodgson could well be sacked on the grounds that the squad aren’t performing within the Premier League after the new owners had to sit and watch as their new venture lost 2-0 to their closest rivals Everton this weekend.

Roy even come out and said after the game  “Merseyside defeat was our best performance of the season” (Mirrorfootball)

The bookmakers have now opened odds on the situation and it looks like they are tipping former Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish to be the next person to fill the manager hotseat.

Dalglish is a huge fan favourite at the club and it seems that the new owners want to give the fans what they want, with the possible switch being actioned in time for the January transfer window opening.

With the new owners already signalling that they will be making funds available to who ever is in charge of the team at that time, and a new manager in time for the opening could well offer the club the chance to build from the ground up.

Hodgson has now suffered the worst start to an Anfield career by any Liverpool manager

Do you think King Kenny should return?
