Manchester City are preparing to splash the cash this summer with a staggering £100million bid for Liverpool striker Fernando Torres.
In a move that will eclipse Manchester United’s £80m sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid last summer, City will flex their financial muscles and smash the transfer record for the worlds best forward at the moment.
Liverpool increased his wage to £110,000 a week which included the option of a one-year extension after its expiry in 2013.In 2009, it was reported that Torres has a personal fortune of £14 million so he might not need the money but could be a different story for liverpool.
Rafa will fight hard to keep his best players at Anfield and may even make a stand by saying he would leave if the Spain international is sold.If they dont make the top four come end of the season cash will be a must need for the liverpool kitty.
For this kind of money Liverpool could not say no could they? Vote below
