Mourinho eyes United job

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho says he could take over as Manchester United manager when Sir Alex Ferguson retires.

Inter head to Old Trafford this week looking to progress in the Champions League, and Mourinho has sought to stir the pot ahead of the crunch clash.

He told the News of the World: “I am sure when Sir Alex retires they’ll look at the best managers in the world, and I certainly fall into the category.”

Mourinho blasts Chelsea

Jose Mourinho has branded former club Chelsea an embarrassment and claims the Premier League has not been competitive since he left Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United are seven points clear of Chelsea, with a game in hand, and appear to be strolling towards another Premier League title.

Mourinho told the News of the World: “I would not allow a team of mine to be so far behind. It is embarrassing.”
