West Ham have confirmed the club have been sold to asset management company CB Holding.

The deal should secure the club’s financial future after previous owner and chairman Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson saw much of his fortune wiped out in the global economic crisis.

Gudmundsson and vice-chairman Asgeir Fridgeirsson have both left the club, it was confirmed.

Eduardo Rossetto said: “Liverpool’s proposal is true. We don’t want to force Napoli to sell the player, but it’s correct they consider it to judge whether it’s sufficient or not.”
