No FA action for Ballack

chelsea Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson claimed Ballack should have been sent off for using an elbow during the Community Shield clash at Wembley.

But referee Chris Foy has confirmed that he saw the incident clearly and acted as he saw fit, leaving the FA to declare the matter closed.Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack admits he “blocked” Patrice Evra during Sunday’s FA Community Shield win.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was left incensed at how Ballack escaped a red card in the build-up to Chelsea’s second goal.

Referee Chris Foy let play continue and Ballack said: “I have to be happy that the referee didn’t blow because maybe I blocked him a little bit.”
