sol-campell Notts County confirmed veteran defender Sol Campbell has left the club just weeks after signing a five-year contract.

Campbell walked out on Notts County today after playing only one game for the League Two club.

County, which has launched an ambitious plan to reach the Premier League after being bought by wealthy owners, said the former England international was leaving “by mutual consent” after he asked to cancel his contract.

Campbell signed a five-year deal at Meadow Lane last month, reuniting him with former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson.

Campbell made his debut in Saturday’s 2-1 loss at Morecambe, County’s third away loss in a row, and came off the field because of a hamstring injury

    Quitter.

He said he was in it for 5 yrs, even hints that he might coach eventually.
He didnt want to be one of those late career 1yr wham, bam, jobbers..
It took him one game to realize that a big name always has a target on his back and there are fresh and hungry lads all over who were gonna make life long and hard.
If youre gonna be pantsed by talented mobile youngsters, you might as well do it in the premiership.

Of course, every will call you a quitter for the rest of your life.

    A liar, a coward and a quiiter.

    So no hard feelings,,…
