Bayern Munich got a storming win  beating Sporting 5-0 at the Jose Alvalade stadium to establish a dominant position in their Champions League last-16 tie.The tie is almost over now and bayern look easy winners with the home leg to come.

The result means Bayern are still unbeaten in this year’s Champions League – and again, it was French wizard Ribery who provided the German side with their inspiration.

Sporting had threatened early on, forcing Philipp Lahm to clear an Anderson Polga effort off the line. The game ebbed and flowed after that – but it was Bayern who took the lead three minutes before half time.

In the second half, Bayern put the game beyond doubt. First Klose forced home a Massimo Oddo cross on 57 minutes before Ribery bagged his second from the penalty spot six minutes later following a foul on Lahm.

Toni added two late goals as Sporting fell apart, the Italian rising almost unchallenged to head in a fourth before comedy defending allowed him enough time and space in the box to score at the second attempt.

Klinsmann said afterwards: “That was beautiful to watch. We are standing with one and a half legs in the quarter final
