Louis Saha’s header hit the post and went in off keeper Petr Cech, but Didier Drogba hit back and Nicolas Anelka then put the Blues ahead.

Sub Yakubu fired Everton level with his first touch and although Drogba claimed his second , it was his clearance that hit Saha’s head and looped in to earn Everton a point.Despite the home side’s pressure, including another Ballack effort that flew just wide, they could not find a breakthrough to win

Birmingham 1 West Ham 0

Midfielder Lee Bowyer scored the winner against former club West Ham, who dropped into the relegation places.

Quick feet from Christian Benitez on the edge of the box saw him play in Bowyer who slotted home.

Keeper Rob Green had kept the Hammers in the game with saves from Roger Johnson and Liam Ridgewell, but Kieron Dyer hit the home post before Mark Noble was sent off for the visitors.

Bolton 3 Man City 3

Carlos Tevez scored twice today giving battling 10-man City a point.

Ivan Klasnic fired in from close range , but Tevez levelled with a deflected effort, only for Gary Cahill to curl in a 20-yard shot.

Micah Richards drove in City’s second Ivan Klasnic volleyed Bolton ahead before Craig Bellamy saw red for two bookings in the space of a minute, and Tevez drove in the equaliser.

Video Manchester City manager Mark Hughes said his side showed great character and desire to come back from behind following a ‘laughable’ decision by the referee

Burnley 1 Fulham 1

Keeper Brian Jensen earned Burnley a point with a string of fine saves.

Fulham made a bright start with Erik Nevland denied by the legs of Jensen, who then tipped a fierce drive from Damien Duff around the post.

He was powerless to stop Bobby Zamora’s opener after Chris Baird’s precise through-ball , but the Clarets levelled when Wade Elliott turned in a cross from Tyrone Mears

Hull 0 Blackburn 0

Hull and Blackburn both wasted chances as the KC Stadium clash ended goalless.

Benni McCarthy thought he had volleyed in an early opener but was denied by the offside flag, and at the other end Craig Fagan and Stephen Hunt failed to beat Paul Robinson when well placed.

Boaz Myhill made a fine reaction save to block Nikola Kalinic’s effort from close range, and the striker wasted another fine chance to hit a winner.

Thomas Sorensen redeemed himself after being lobbed from 50 yards, saving a penalty as Stoke drew with Wigan.

Emmerson Boyce bravely headed Wigan in front before Tuncay Sanli latched on to a flick-on to equalise.

Maynor Figueroa chipped an off-guard Sorensen with an audacious free-kick from his own half , but Ryan Shawcross levelled before Sorensen saved Hugo Rodallega’s spot-kick.

Younes Kaboul’s last-gasp strike snatched a point for Portsmouth.

Sunderland dominated and Kenwyne Jones brought a fine save out of David James before Andy Reid pulled the ball back for Bent, who fired home.

Jordan Henderson and Lorik Cana should have seen off Pompey before Kaboul rifled in , but his joy was short-lived as he received a silly second yellow card for taking off his shirt.

Video Portsmouth manager Avram Grant was thought his team dominated the second half and more than deserved their point

Tottenham 0 Wolves 1

Wolves hung on to an early Kevin Doyle goal to stun high-flying Tottenham.

Robbie Keane just missed the target, Sebastien Bassong headed over and Peter Crouch nodded wide. Marcus Hahnemann twice denied Tom Huddlestone as Spurs somehow failed to find an equaliser.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp gave full credit to Wolves’ defending as they shut out Tottenham for most of the game.
