FC Barcelona 1 – 0 Real Madrid El Classico Video Highlights
November 30, 2009
Barca are back on top of the Primera Liga after a fascinating game that saw a contrast in styles and fortunes. An early second half strike from substitute Zlatan Ibrahimovic piloted Barcelona to a 1-0 win over their visiting Real Madrid in a El Clasico clash where both sides where reduced to ten here on Sunday.
Ibrahimovic, a late inclusion in the home side’s team selection, came on as a substitute for Thierry Henry in the 51st minute and found the winner five-minutes later with a clever sweet one time volley past Iker Casillas.
Pacing away from his marker, Ibrahimovic arrived late in the area unmarked to side foot home a cross from the right hand side by Daniel Alves.
The goal was the Swede’s eighth of the season and one that lift Barcelona over Real in the La Liga table by two points. The homevictory also ended Real’s 12 match unbeaten run.

veteran Francisco Casquero missed a penalty in the most absurd fashion possible playing madrid last night and could have knocked there title hopes but oh no one word for this pen shocking!
Berbatov Fa cup semi final april 2009
Let the pictures tell the story this is a bad one and everton go on to beat united on the day.
Roberto Baggio, Italy v Brazil, Los Angeles 1994
The divine ponytail now seems unlikely to ever win a World Cup, so it will probably be his misfortune to be remembered for losing one. The stakes could hardly have been higher as Baggio the Buddhist stepped up. Not only had Claudio Taffarel just made a crucial save to put the onus of an entire World Cup on the next kick, he had dedicated it to his Christian God by pointing to the sky. Baggio’s shot went in that direction
Martin Keown’s testimonial trauma
It’s tradition that a player be allowed to score in his testimonial game. Unless that player’s name is Martin Keown. Edu’s dive to win the Keown penalty is worth a second look. And never trust a commentator who believes that a clogger like Keown is capable of ’stroking the ball into the back of the net’. And let’s hear three cheers for panto villain Rob Green.
Francesco Totti’s crap chip
As a goalie you might be prepared, as this keeper was, for Totti’s huge ego to prevent him from taking anything resembling a normal penalty
Stuart Pearce and Chris Waddle bow to the Germans
Painful viewing, still
The Phantom Stumbler
This always gets a chuckle out of me. Could you imagine a penalty going more wrong? According to my research, it’s Peter Devine of Lancaster City, cocking up against Whitley Bay. Poor chap
And here are some poor misses from yes some of the best players in the world there only human
Iker Casillas should have gone to specsavers
March 15, 2009
Iker’s eyes seemed to be watering constantly from the moment Liverpool knocked them out of europe last Tuesday night. And now we have the evidence above, which clearly shows that being shoved in the chest causes a reaction pain in Casillas eyes. Fran Yeste saw a red card for this push on the Spain international.
It seemed to have a damaging long-term effect on Casillas if his handling for Athletic’s second goal is anything to go by. See the video after the jump Maybe Casillas needs to go to specsavers and get some Edgar Davids glasses
Liverpool vs Real Madrid Pepe Reina gives Iker Casillas English lessons
March 10, 2009
Pepe Reina is giving Iker Casillas some tips on english before the big game tonight .Madrid need to score to stay in the tie of course pepe is not giving him too many tips see the video below.
Reds stand on the verge of eliminating a top European team at the last sixteen stage of the Champions League. Last season it was Inter Milan, now Real Madrid have got to pull a few irons out of the fire at Anfield if Juande Ramos’ team are to avoid elimination. Quite simply, the Spanish champions have to win the match if they are to have any chance of making the quarter final stage. The noisy Anfield crowd will also be boosted by the news that Fernando Torres could be fit for the match
