Jimmy Bullard goal celebration vs Man City
November 29, 2009
Got to be one of the goal celebrations of the season. Phil Brown on Jimmy Bullard said It was a fantastic celebration. Great comedy is about timing. I couldn’t deliver my post-match speech as I was laughing so much. The whole thing was timed to perfection… You could not have had a celebration like that, after a goal, unless it was at Eastlands and was in the goal in front of the Hull fans. I had no idea it was going to happen. I was trying to arrange a five-man midfield at the time so I didn’t see it. But my analysis guy showed me it on the laptop when we got into the changing room.”
Jimmy Bullard scored an 82nd-minute penalty to earn Hull City a precious point and ensure a seventh successive top-flight draw for Manchester City
The remix of Phil Browns half time pitch talk. Priceless
Romario makes a last comeback
November 26, 2009
The legendary striker Romario came out of retirement for a one-off special on Wednesday night, to fulfill the wish of his father eho passed away last year. The 43-year-old forward, who ended his career last year after 23 years, plans to fulfill his late father’s dream by playing a match with America, a second-division club in Rio de Janeiro.
Romario, who became America’s sporting director this year, came on as a substitute in the second half of America’s 2-0 win over Artsul before joining in with the team’s celebrations as they lifted the Rio de Janeiro state second division title.
The former Barcelona striker was unable to improve on his career goals tally, which he has claimed to be over 1000, but he did a lap of honour with the trophy.
“I had the chance to play in several teams, I wore the most important shirt in the football universe which is that of the Brazil national team, but today this is a very different emotion to all those
The prolific striker scored 70 times for Brazil, helping them to the 1994 World Cup in the process. He claims to have scored over 1,000 times in all types of matches in his long career
Henry Handball puts Ireland Out
November 19, 2009
A late goal in extra time was handed to William Gallas by henry to score and end the irish chances of going to the world cup next year.
Ireland made the trip to Paris trailing 1-0 from the first leg, but they dominated the game and Robbie Keane’s goal put them ahead 33 minutes and took the match to extra-time.
There was nothing between the two sides, but Thierry Henry helped with a blatant handball in the build-up to William Gallas’s goal
that put france in and ireland out.
Ireland should be proud how they took france on in their own back yard but justice was not done in this game, the irish luck was not with them this time
Now i truly understand how the English felt after Maradona’s “Hand of God”.The Irish lads were exceptional & didn’t deserve to loose in that manner
I think now its time to put Hawk Eye Technology in for football and next years world cup
Should this have been allowed? vote below
