Transfer talk Mascherano Torres Could Move
June 22, 2009
All this weeks transfer talk starts with a possable move still on for Mascherano to move to real madrid or barca.Barcelona were already courting Mascherano when Madrid entered the chase last week.Rafa Benitez is adamant that Mascherano will not depart the side as he sees the 25-year-old as a vital component of his squad.
Pellegrino concedes ‘anything is possible’ in football, as Barca and also Real Madrid continue to be linked with an offer for Mascherano’s services.
“Every time negotiations are underway, money always makes the decision,” Pellegrino told sport.es.
“Anyway, Mascherano is such an important player for us, like other ones can be for Barca.
“I do not want to say anything about it because we already know that in football’s world, nothing is impossible.”
“I am very proud and thankful for the interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid. It’s good for me to have these two teams interested in me. Both teams are very important but at this moment I think that Barcelona is a little bit better and that’s why they’ve won all that they have.” – Javier Mascherano.
liverpool may have to triple his wage to keep him at anfield
Rafa is also concerned at the prospect of losing Torres, established as the Premier League’s most impressive striker since joining from Atletico Madrid two summers ago. Chelsea inquired about the 25-year-old earlier this year and Benitez believes the London club are now ready to offer as much as £60m. Fearing that Liverpool’s hard-up owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett, might struggle to resist
Liverpool also have completed the signing of 15-year-old Jesus Joaquin Fernandez from Cadiz the wonderkid from spain according to one Spanish newspaper.
Also Micheal Owen could be on his way to Hull City Owen is out of contract with relegated Newcastle and is eager to return to the Premier League, despite terrible injury problems over recent seasons.
Hull chairman Paul Duffen told the News of the World: “We’re interested in Michael Owen on the right terms. We are an ambitious club and want to show it.”
“It’s something that has been sounded out as a possibility, but, as yet, there has been no offer put to Michael,” he told the Hull Daily Mail

All of Fernando Torres 50 Goals
May 26, 2009
It now seems almost unthinkable that nearly a year-and-a-half ago, when Liverpool splashed out £25 million for Fernando Torres, there were some who doubted the talents of the blond-haired darling from Madrid. Sure, he may not have cut it at the highest level with Atlético Madrid, and he may not have scored over 20 goals in one season, but there was no denying the potential locked away in the Spanish number 9.
2008 saw him finish second in the Football Writers’ Association Player Of The Year behind Cristiano Ronaldo, be nominated for the FIFA World Player Of The Year (in which he would eventually finish third behind Ronaldo and Lionel Messi), and be chosen in various select teams, such as the PFA Team Of The Year, the FIFPro World XI, and the UEFA European Championship Team Of The Tournament, after he helped Spain to become European Champions in Austria and Switzerland
Whether or not he is yet to unleash all that potential is another matter, but it is fair to say that he has suitably whetted the appetite of the red-half of Merseyside in his short spell in the North of England. Since joining Liverpool, El Niño has come to be recognised as a cult figure on the Kop, has undoubtedly become one of the key players in the side alongside Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, and has genuine claims to be the best striker in the Premier League,Well we could say World not bad in under two years! Here is all his first 50 goals even quicker than legends such as Rush, fowler and half this season with injury he came back strong!
loving that abba track work it Mr Torres
