Bremen 0 – 1 Hamburg Highlights

Hamburg got a great away win over Bremen tonight in the uefa cup the only goal of the game was score by Trochowsk.Martin Jol’s side may have been outplayed on the night, but will take a lead and an away goal to next week’s second leg.The visitors had the better of  their hosts in the first half as they created  lots of solid chances.Bremen came out all guns flying in the second half with new energy and commitment  but missed many chances to turn this around. Jol will be very happy with this all german tie result and has a great advantage to back for the return leg at home next week.This is not over yet and bremen will be sure they can sneek a away goal .Highlights below

Galatasaray 2 – 3 Hamburg Uefa Cup

Galatasaray went in the lead five minutes before half time when ex liverpool player  Harry Kewell converted a penalty after Baros had been brought down by Boateng. Five minutes after the break, Milan Baroschipped in the second after a slick move and a great through ball from Arda Turan. But the tie was turned on its head thanks to two goals in three minutes from Paolo Guerrero. The Hamburg number nine claimed the first with  brillant hit from outside the box and then on the hour mark added the equaliser with a fine run and powerful finish. Ivica Olic wrapped up the tie in the 90th minute

Aalborg BK 2 – 0 Manchester City 0 (3-4 pens)

City are through but they left it to the death! Two late Aalborg goals took it to extra time then pens.The game was very close cut city playing on the defence holding there lead and alborg countering when they could with not many chances on each side.Aalborg finally forced a breakthrough with five minutes remaining as Shelton found room 10-yards out and crashed past the stranded Shay Given.A remarkable climax was then completed when Evans handled in the box and Jakobsen smashed home from the spot.

Extra-time failed to produce any chances of note, so the game went to the lottery of penalties.

Shay Given saved from Thomas Augustinussen and Shelton, while City converted all four of their spot kicks to book a place in the last eightShay Given saved Manchester City’s UEFA Cup dreams with two penalty shoot-out saves to put his side through to the quarter-finals saves.Close call but city just did the job tonight.

Not a good night for russia tonight even thou zenit got the win it was not enough.Zenit went into the break 1-0 up after Anatoliy Tymoschuk got the final touch in a head- battle session in the Udinese box.Udinese advance on and zenit like cska go out.
