Jermain Defoe was on target tonight as Tottenham win 3-1 against Stoke City.Goals from Lennon Defoe then Dawson did the damage all in the first half.A first-half onslaught saw Spurs to victory despite some late pressure.
Aaron Lennon danced through and slotted beneath Thomas Sorenson ,Jermain Defoe fired home Roman Pavlyuchenko’s superb pass and Michael Dawson headed in Luka Modric’s cross .
James Beattie pulled a fine goal back from Matthew Etherington’s lofted throughball but Richard Cresswell later headed a good chance wide but it was too late spurs get the 3 points they much needed.
