United Comeback at CSKA as Drogba saves Chelsea

cska-beat-manchester-united CSKA stunned united tonight  going 3-1 up in their champions league match but united stormed back to make it 3-3 on the night united now into the knock-out stages.Chelsea looked down and out also until the last ten mins when a double from drogba gave them a point on the night 2-2 it could have been a great away win but a very late goal from aguero.

Dzagoev had given the visitors the lead  but Michael Owen slotted in from close range four minutes later before Milos Krasnic shocked old trafford and drilled  them into a 2-1 lead with only half an hour gone .Matters got worse when Vasili Berezutsky headed home a third to put cska 3-1 up and the game looked game over for united.

United pilled on the pressure and in the last 20 minutes the comeback was complete Paul Scholes headed home before Georgi Schennikov deflected in an Antonio Valencia shot at the death.

 

Atletico Madrid 2 Chelsea 2

A Didier Drogba double on his return from a ban put Chelsea into the last 16 as they were denied very late on in the game .

John Terry’s header fell to Sergio Aguero who fired in an unstoppable volley to put Atletico ahead  but Drogba headed in Florent Malouda’s pinpoint cross to level the match.
Drogba then got a second and look the winner  turned in a rebound to put the Blues ahead  but right at the end.Yet Atletico refused to give up hope, and Aguero’s superb free kick in injury time gave the hosts the point they deserved  .

Chelsea can be happy into the last 16 with games to spare and the drog is back

Milan and Real Madrid played out a 1-1 draw at the San Siro that keeps both sides’ Champions League qualification hopes on track in the big clash of the big guns tonight.Madrid took early lead when Karim Benzema finished from close range after Milan keeper Dida had failed to hold a shot from Kaka.

Milan drew level when Madrid defender Pepe was harshly handled a cross from Zambrotta and Ronaldinho stepped up to blast the penalty home for milan.
