Around 18 people were injured as fans went on a riot after Coritiba drew 1-1 with Fluminense which saw them relegated to the second division in Brazil
Hundreds of Coritiba fans charged the field after Sunday’s match, tearing down stands and battling with riot police, who responded by firing rubber bullets.
Fans also trashed at least four Curitiba bus stations, and authorities said three officers were hurt in the mayhem.
Fights between fans also broke Rio de Janeiro after Flamengo secured its very first Brazilian league title in 17 years with a 2-1 win.
