Ok many are moaning about the Jabulani ball  from players to managers on the wrong side of a result looking for a excuse, but hey at least now we are seeing some great goals so what’s wrong?. The list of detractors grows  it seems, and former Liverpool striker Craig Johnson, now an expert in the science of soccer equipment gave FIFA President Sepp Blatter a 12-page letter detailing all that is wrong with the Jabulani.

Johnston says in his letter to Blatter:

‘If a sponsor came into your office before the World Cup and said: ‘We are going to give you a new, perfectly round match ball, the players won’t like it at all, there will be more mistakes made than in any other World Cup, there will be less goals scored, less free-kicks scored, less passes complete, less control by players and roughly 70% of crosses and shots on goal will miss wide and go way over the crossbar. What would you say to them?’

He has a point would you agree? Johnston expects to be blacklisted by FIFA as a result of his letter.

Well how about this for words from NASA “The worst soccer ball in history”

“The Jabulani’s 440 gram weight, coupled with the high-altitude conditions in South Africa, means when at speeds of 44 mph or more the ball becomes susceptible to something called the ‘knuckle effect’ –  if the ball becomes unstable in the air and volatile swerving may occur.”
