Following after Liverpool had to battle tooth and nail to win a point in an entertaining 2-2 draw against Sunderland fans stayed in the stadium to protest against American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett.

Hodgson tried to make amends by giving support for the protesters.

“I don’t think anybody at the club wants anything but a solution to the ownership problem,”

“The fans here are very passionate and care an awful lot about this football club.

“You cannot criticise them for showing their displeasure about the situation, because like ourselves they want to see the club moving forward and not sort of stuck with owners who are trying to sell the club.”

As you see and hear below the fans let their feelings known which is fair play i say.

  • I'm a Liverpool fan and I was actually there!
The protest wasn't as big as it was in the past but certainly got some attention although I'm dissapointed it wasn't on Match of the Day – maybe they need to rethink MOTD2!
On the game though, I am very dissapointed with a draw, and unlike many others.. I think the goal should of stood.
