West Ham’s got a impressive 1-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday. Teenager Jack Collison was the match-winner with a curling 71st-minute effort, side-footing home after Shay Given saved from Savio.
But West Ham’s depleted defensive resources took another blow when the Swiss defender Behrami was stretchered off in the first half having twisted his knee attempting a tackle.
It was a lacklustre performance once again from City, although they should have taken the lead when Craig Bellamy teed up a glorious chance for Robinho which the Brazilian somehow poked wide.
The Welsh striker, roundly booed by the home support, after his acrimonious exit from Upton Park last month, was City’s main goal threat but was hauled off in the 66th minute
