Check out the before and after pictures of the 68,000-capacity Green Point Stadium in Cape Town, set in a beautiful location in the shadow of Table Mountain. One of the most artistic football venues in South Africa the Green Point Stadium one of the two semi-final venues for the FIFA World Cup
The stadium cost approximately £220 million to build but as you can see below looks stunning. The stadium architecture focuses on the exterior appearance as well as on the user experience for the visitor once inside the stadium bowl. The exterior appearance is largely defined by a sweeping silhouette, not to be in competition with the horizontal datum line of Table Mountain, and the façade, made of a stretched fibre-glass mesh and designed as an articulated surface that makes the building appear almost scaleless.
So how do you rate it out of 10? looks the business to us, now all we have to do is wait another 6 months and pray no metatarsal injuries
