Argentina turned up the heat today with a 4-1 win over south korea but the poor french go from bad to worse as they lose  2-0 to mexico.
Park Chu-Young put the ball past his own keeper in the first half to put them 1-0 up.
South Korea hit back after Gonzalo Higuain scored a second but there was nothing fortunate about the final scoreline, matched at as Argentina hit their opponents time and again on the break. That provided the opportunity for Higuain to score the first hat-trick of the tournament with a great header.

As for France  they need a helping hand once more to stand any chance of making he knockout stage.
Javier Hernandez gave Mexico the lead on 64 minutes when he sprung the offisde trap before dribbling around the France goalkeeper.

Mexican legend Blanco aged 37 added the second from the penalty spot as he drilled low into the bottom right hand corner after Pablo Barrera was chopped down by Abidal.

Mexico’s first win over France in the international arena means they are in the driving seat to reach the last 16, as for france well they look down and out.
