Wright Phillips to Arsenal good or bad move

Wenger is keen to add another winger for next seasons squad and sees the England international as the perfect addition, especially at the discount price of £5million.
City boss Roberto Mancini is expected to go in search of several new players in the summer – including a more consistent right-winger after publicly admitting Wright-Phillips has failed to convince him of his worth.

But Wenger believes the 28-year-old – whose father is former Gunners legend Ian Wright – can still do a job in the upper reaches of the Premier League and is prepared to give him a chance.

The news is likely to trouble young starlet Theo Walcott, who has been out of sorts after another stop-start season.

The pair could be pitting against one another for the starting spot on the right of midfield next season, or, as Wenger has suggested previously, he could begin to use Walcott in more of a support role for central striker Robin van Persie.

If Wright-Phillips is set to leave City, he will have signed off in style – the 5ft 5in player scoring a rare headed goal as his side drew 1-1 at West Ham on the Premier League’s final day.

Question is would he fit in well at arsenal?
